Here is a list of the monthy social events being planned by OutWest until early 2019.
April 12, 2018
Don’t forget that Outwest is holding its AGM next Wednesday evening (18th April) in the Meeting Room of the Bridge St Bar, on Bridge Street, Castlebar, Co Mayo, starting at 8:30pm.
Guest speakers on the night are Maria Molloy & Cameron Keighron.
Maria is Chairperson of AMACH! LGBT Galway, which is a voluntary run registered charity representing and advocating on behalf of the LGBT+ community in Galway city and county. Founded in 2010 its main focus has been on the opening of an LGBT+ resource centre in Galway. This has now been achieved with the opening of Teach Solais on Victoria Place, just off Eyre Square. Maria will share with us the journey that AMACH! has taken from its foundation in 2010 to the opening of Teach Solais in 2017, and what Teach Solais now offers to the LGBT+ community in Galway.
Cameron(who is also Vice-Chairperson of AMACH!) is a young Trans man, and his talk will be about the life of Trans people in rural Ireland, the barriers that these people face, and the impact that it has on their lives, as well as discussing ways that LGBT+ community groups can support this group of people.
These should be two very interesting talks, so please try to get along on the night to hear what Maria and Cameron have to tell us.

Outwest takes pleasure in inviting all of its patrons to attend its Annual General Meeting which will be held on the evening of 18th April 2018 in the Meeting Room in Bridge St Bar, Bridge Street, Castlebar, Co Mayo starting at 8:30pm.
This will be your chance to hear about Outwest’s activities in the past 12 months, and have your say in what you would like to see Outwest doing in the year to come.
We shall also be electing our new committee to steer us through the coming year and we would be delighted to see new faces on the committee, so by all means put your name forward on the night.
