In partnership with Ballina 2023, we are celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Ballina by presenting a full day of Family Friendly Events:

A Day Out For All 🏳️‍🌈

Get ready for an exciting day ahead with our jam-packed schedule!

11am to 12.30pm: LGBTQIA+ Family Inclusive Storytime at Ballina County Library.

Celebrate the diversity of families in our community with Drag performer and professional Storyteller Ben Lucent, and Sinead O’Brien, professional Storyteller and actress. Get ready for an unforgettable day with fun entertainment and treats including puppets, dance and craft for our young readers.

12.30pm to 3pm: Outdoor Picnic at The Jackie Clarke Collection.

A time where everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community, their families, friends, and allies can gather for a day of fun, food, and music. Enjoy tea and coffee, delicious food, and ice-cream from our fantastic vendors while taking in the beautiful garden surroundings. Our information stands, featuring Mindspace Mayo and OutWest, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

3pm to 5pm: Street Games

An afternoon of classic Street Games on Walsh Street/The Jackie Clarke Collection for all the family to compete in a fun, diverse and inclusive atmosphere.

For our adult guests, we’ve got you covered too! Start your evening with a Free Rapid HIV & Syphilis testing from 6pm – 7pm at the OutWest Drop-in Centre (see location HERE), then join us for an electrifying night of Drag Bingo starting at 9pm at The Cot and Cobble.
